SOUTHWEST VALLEY - A rollover Wednesday sent two people in a Buick LeSabre into an irrigation canal near 99th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
Phoenix firefighters responded to the crash around noon Wednesday. The two people, an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were able to get out of the vehicle and were conscious when rescuers arrived. They were taken to a hospital for treatment.
There was only a small amount of water in the canal, said Capt. Shelly Jamison, a Fire Department spokeswoman.
GLENDALE - Glendale police are looking for a man who robbed a Chase bank branch Sunday after threatening to shoot two female bank tellers.
The robber told a teller he had a gun and demanded an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.
He fled on foot from the bank, in a Fry's store at 59th Avenue and Loop 101. No weapon or vehicle was seen.
The robber was described as a male in his 30s, 5 feet 7, 175 pounds, wearing a long-sleeve black and gray shirt, a red bandana on his head, sunglasses, black jeans and boots, police said. He was carrying a blue CD case.

PEORIA - Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road, is hosting a flu and pneumonia vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Shots to prevent both ailments will be administered by Healthwaves. Both are fully covered by Medicare B and some insurance companies.
